God doesn’t comfort us to make us comfortable; He comforts us to make us comforters.
The church is healthy only when we work together, look out for each other, and use our strengths to benefit one another. —Julie Ackerman Link
Training and education are valuable in the service of the Savior, but nothing can replace time spent in His presence. He is the source of whatever spiritual impact we might have on our world.
The Lord wants to show Himself to us, thus giving us a truer vision of ourselves, a deeper need for His grace, and a greater commitment to live and speak for Him. What a miracle! —Marvin Williams
Because God is great and is in control we have nothing to fear.
If God’s Word guides your conscience, then let your conscience be your guide.
We can sleep in peace because we know God is alert and awake.
You don’t need to know where you are going if you know God is leading.
We can not control all the events of life, but we can control our attitude toward them.
You won’t stumble in the dark if you walk in the light of God’s Word.
If someone were to your read your life like a book, would they find Jesus in its pages?
The only way to survive in a world of deception is by trusting the One who will never deceive us.
Prejudice distorts what it sees, deceives when it talks, and destroys when it acts.
The angels of God protect the people of God as they do the work of God.
Losing your temper is no way to get rid of it.
Every word in the Bible was placed with a purpose; any part you’ve not read is your buried treasure.

When we serve God momentary defeats give way to ultimate victory. Adversity is a setback from which we take our greatest leaps forward. Charles Stanley

God encourages us to break out of mediocrity and stretch into the persons we were created to be. We live on the battleground. We were not taken out of it. God has called us to carry the light into this dark world. There are many people who are in spiritual darkness and God is asking us to speak truth in love, to speak His Word of life to those who are dead in spirit. Every battle we win pushes the darkness back a little further. We fight from the position of victory not just striving for it. Jesus won the victory over Satan already. Every soul saved is a victory for the Kingdom of God. We are in a battle we already know we are the winners. With that knowledge, putting of the armor of God, in confidence and strength of the Holy Spirit we go forth into battle. Victory is won every day for the battle still rages on. Be a participant of the mission of the winning team.

I resolve---to search for the face of God not only in prayer, but in having no other intentions in my work, words, or suffering. -Mother Veronica Namoyo

When difficult circumstances come into my life, I hear God's voice saying "let Me be the blessed controller. Surrender. Accept My timing. Accept My ways. Accept My outcome. Let your trust be in Me alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If today you are facing difficult circumstances search for God in them. What is He saying to you in this situation? He wants you to see how you are responding and wants to teach you to be more like His Son. God calls you to let Him have control. Surrender it all to Him. Accept the timing of His answers, the ways He will answer and the outcome He has planned. Begin the obedient act of trust Him.
Discipleship is about serving others, changing focus from self to others, and it is taking up your cross. We will mess that up, but Christ forgives and encourages us to try again.
The visible proof of being a believer is right behavior. Many do good deeds but don't have faith in Messiah, Yeshua. Others claim to have faith but rarely perform good deeds. A deficit in either will result in shame when Christ returns. Faith always result in fruitfulness for God's kingdom. The process of becoming more like Christ won't be complete this side of eternity. Knowing our destiny should spur us on to growth, and to keep us morally, pure, kept from the corruption of sin. There is action we must take to remain pure.
Read 1 Tim 5:22, James 4:8, 1 Peter 1:22
1 John 3
We are born into God's family when the Holy Spirit lives in us and gives us Jesus' new life. Being born again is more than a fresh start. The Holy Spirit gives us a new heart and a new mind. Our perspective changes, and our mind is renewed daily.
We no longer make it a practice to sin and seek for ways to justify it.
God offers the only real life there is. Psalm 36:9
The greatest command has to do with your heart. John 14:15, 1 John 5:3, Duet. 4,5, and 6.
The greatest sin is to turn your heart from God. Duet 7 and 8
Reach for God's strength and wisdom for the work of today. It is what you need to accomplish today that prepares you for tomorrow. Don't worry about tomorrow, God prepares you for that by doing what you are to work at today. The more you focus on what the task for the day is the better you will be prepared for all your tomorrows.
There are laws of prayer that we must follow.
We must be a child of God before He will hear and answer our prayer.
We are to realize we stand in heaven with Jesus at the right hand of God.
We stand above all principalities, powers, and evil. They have no power over us.
We must walk according to His precepts. We are sinful and in need of His grace on a daily basis. We acknowledge His forgiveness and are to forgive others as God forgives us.
God will test our faith so that we grow stronger to not fall into temptation.
We are utterly dependent on God. He has set us apart as holy.
We are to listen to His voice so we know what we have need of.
When we ask we must ask rightly, according to His will and His word.
We must be in right standing with God. Abiding in Him and Him in us.
We must ask with right motives not selfish ones.
We are to pray believing we have what we ask for, and even greater things than we dare ask.
We are to be open to receive whatever answer He gives.
We are to depend on Him to answer it and not take matters into our own hands.
We are to bring glory to Him, by acknowledging Him as Sovereign and in control of all things. We are to be transformed to His will and then reflect that in our daily living, in every matter of life. That might mean making adjustments to our life.
We are to grow and stay in close intimacy with Him and to plead His promises.
We are to give Him our thanks and praise in every thing.
Prayer is the key to heaven but faith unlocks the door.
We are to allow His plan to have its way as we humbly trust Him to work all things out according to His will. We are in a spiritual warfare and He alone leads us to triumph!
The model of prayer that we are given involves:
worship
allegiance
submission
petition
intercession
confession
deliverance
worship again
A hypocrite is someone who acts like something he is not. When a man heard his friend was no longer going to church because he felt like a hypocrite, his friend corrected him. He said when you go to church you act like a believer, as a true child of God should act. If you don't act that way at work, then there you are being the hypocrite. You need to change the way you act at work to reflect who you really are.
Genuineness is a rare but noble quality. It was rare in Jesus' day too. Jesus called for something different. Anyone could act holy, but being holy was another matter. Instead of pretending to be righteous, he called for an honesty that began deep within a person. When we change on the inside, you will find the way the world deals with you also changes. The changes on the inside will escape to the outside.
Character is a by-product; it is produced in the great manufacture of daily duty. Woodrow Wilson
Inside everyone is a treasure. It can be a positive, worthwhile treasure, or it can be evil. Whatever you keep as your treasure is shown in the actions you take and the words you use. What is on the inside becomes evident to those on the outside.
Legalism is making laws more important than God. Too often the it blots out the truth. The regulations that were meant to guide people become more important than the people they were meant to guide. Jesus is more interested in you than a set of rules. He taught that righteousness was not in following a set code of rules, but the action that was motivated by love. Any opportunity to do good for another is the right time to do so.
Servants don't compete or polish their image.
Servants don't control anyone or anything.
Servants can't change or fix people.
Servants don't concern themselves with who gets the credit.
They do what they do when others aren't looking.
They serve faithfully and joyfully, quietly and consistently, doing their job in the name of Jesus.
