GIVING- IS TO BE DONE WITH A GRATEFUL HEART
God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:6-15
THE LORD HAS WORK FOR HIS PEOPLE TO DO. The work of His ministry is not to be neglected.
If you have been blessed by this web site then I would appreciate your prayers for the site; that it would reach those who most need to hear the words that God has preserved for our benefit. The Bible is a Jewish document, carried through history to give us the story and message that God has had a plan in place. We are to know that man thinks he is good, but he is not, and God is angry. Yet God is compassionate and offers us forgiveness. We have His promise of eternal life and we should dare not miss to receive what He freely offers to all mankind.
This site is part of my passion, and my mission in life. Share it with others that you know who may benefit from it.
I pray that you are a member of or are attending a good local Bible believing congregation and having great fellowship with your brothers and sisters in the Lord. The Lord designed us to be in fellowship with other believers and not to be lone rangers. The enemy seeks those who are separated from the fold. The local congregation and their work needs your support financially, prayerfully, and in your service, so give your tithes and offerings there and find ways to be of service in the body.
There are many good ministries in place, with many people on board, who take the gospel message to parts of the world where we will never visit, some areas we will never hear about. Gird them in prayer and and give them your support on a regular basis. They need to plan their work based on the income they receive. Giving them even a small amount on a regular basis will go far in bringing the gospel to the world.
The Word of God is the most important thing we can give to the world. Jesus began the ministry while He was here and He has commissioned us to go forth and make disciples, and to preach about the kingdom of God, that they all may hear the words of eternal life and be saved, and become a part of the family of believers.
We are to be faithful stewards of all the riches God has given us. God owns everything in this world. He gives us many good gifts to use while we reside here. We should consider that a privilege. We are to give with a happy heart, as one pastor says, it is even more like a hysterical happiness, a joy like no other. When we acknowledge that God has given, and God can take it away, we are thankful for all we have. When we live our lives with open hands, we trust God will take care of our needs. God chooses to bless each of us in different measure and in different ways. There is a reason for His gifts and for the losses we experience. We are to give in order to relieve the hardship of others, but we give out of our surplus not out of what would cause hardship to our sefl. When we are in need we are to receieve out of the surplus of others. Then everyone will have what they need, not for your own affliction but so that there will be equality. 2 Cor. 8:7-15
There are many ministries that come and go, and some don't use a very big percentage of what you give toward the actual activity the ministry has focused on. We would do well to check out some information about them before we give.
Check on ministries through http://charitynavigator.org, where you will find information about the organization and how they are spending the money. Choose wisely and find a few different types of ministries to support. There are some very well known ministries and those are always your best bet. They usually have means of accomplishing the goals they have set out to achieve.
May the peace of the Lord dwell in you richly.
